A HRIS Analyst is responsible for the technical and functional support of the HRIS (Workday) technology and HRIS system development and integration.  This role participates in the design, build, and execution of the HR system administration (Workday), data integrity, data analysis, consultation, and reporting that supports business needs and HR areas of recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compensation, performance management, talent management, safety, succession planning, and learning and development.   The HRIS Analyst will apply comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles, concepts and best practices in designing, developing, configuring and maintaining human resources applications across the organization.  This role is part of the Human Resources and Communications team.

Here’s more of what you will do…

Performs HRIS support, problem resolution, user administration, security role setups and workflow maintenance for business applications as appropriate.

  • Provides day-to-day HRIS support to Human Resources and the organization.

  • Provides system and security administration, end user technical support, problem solving, process flow documentation and process change requests.

  • Ensures HRIS data integrity by scheduled data review and reporting.

  • Assists departments/teams with technical issues related to the use of HRIS system.

  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.

  • Provides administrative and operational support for HR systems and other applications as identified.

  • Troubleshoots production system issues and follows-through to resolution.

  • Investigates and resolves system-related issues and support the business with escalating issues to the appropriate vendor or internal system owner.

  • Recommends best practices to cross functional team regarding business process design.

Partners with SR HRIS Manager, cross functional Leaders/Managers to continuously enhance and streamline HRIS system functionality and business process support.

  • Works directly with business users to assess business needs and translate those needs into effective solutions that align with project initiatives.

  • Evaluates business requirements into processes and systems that drive efficient and consistent execution.

  • Tests and implements planned system enhancements within Workday.

  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.

  • Writes, maintains and supports advanced reporting for Leadership.

  • Assesses the feasibility of systems enhancements or process changes and their impact on HR application and ancillary systems.

  • Identifies operational/functional objectives for business projects by gathering information, evaluating requirements and solutions, authoring functional specifications, and translating ambiguous business problems into recommended concrete data and information solutions.

  • Participates in meetings to perform analysis of change requests and/or recommendations and translates into proper system requirements.

  • Coordinates new software releases and system updates with SaaS providers and the business.

  • Leads system testing efforts to ensure successful updates.

  • Assists departments/teams in the creation of queries to select and compile information from the HRIS system as needed.

  • Determines security role assignments based on role within the organization; determines level of access to Workday data and processes and completes the assignments/setup accordingly.

Provides the organization with HRIS subject-matter expertise and ensures compliance with all local, state and Federal laws as well as Company policy and compliance standards.

  • Works with internal audit partner, end users and IT to ensure SOX compliance by developing auditing processes to ensure data integrity and system accuracy.

  • Reviews processes and procedures to implement changes to improve department performance and service levels for performance management, talent management, succession planning, and career management.

  • Maintains system setup and table maintenance, including configuration and customization changes.

  • Ensures application key controls are met for annual IT audit.

  • Monitors and ensures daily, weekly or monthly interfaces (3rd party or internal) process correctly and troubleshoot any failed processes.

  • Develops HR/Payroll reports using appropriate tools and provides data analysis support to HR and other business units.  Creates ad hoc reports for all modules.

  • Works with Learning and Development team to identify training needs of end users, develops training materials and provides the necessary training to meet those needs.

  • Keeps abreast of federal, state and local HR-related laws and regulations to ensure company compliance from a HR systems perspective.

Here’s what you must have to be considered for this role…

  • Three Plus Years of Workday HRIS Experience with HCM and Payroll Systems; Ability to Create Custom Reports with Workday Reporting Tools

  • Solid Understanding of HR Practices and Laws and Various Government Statutory Requirements on Employment Standards, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, etc.

  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving and Project Management Skills

  • Ability to Work Collaboratively to Build, Develop and Implement Process Improvements

  • Previous Experience Developing and Executing HR Information Systems

  • Advanced Communication and Presentation Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel and Office Suite Skills

Here’s what we hope you have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Technology or Other Related Field in Developing and Implementing HR Processes and Applications

  • Experience in Human Resource Analytics and Metrics

  • Previous Distribution Business Experience
