Overview

The Manager, Financial Systems & Optimization (FS&O) will play a major part in maximizing Shake Shack’s investment in Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning.  The role will be involved with all aspects of system administration and support, and will also assist in defining strategy, managing projects, and developing business solutions.  The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders, is a strong communicator, and has a knack for networking and building relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and architect solutions, striving to continually optimize processes and add value
  • Work collaboratively with the FS&O team to develop and execute on project plans, using defined management methodologies and facilitating frequent and open dialogue within project teams
  • Configure and test system features and enhancements, including maintenance of the financial data model, business processes, tenant setup, validations, and more across Workday Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Customer Accounts, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, Cash, and Adaptive Planning
  • Provide improved reporting and analytics for our teams leveraging the full suite of Workday tools, including custom financial reports (of all types), dashboards, Worksheets, Discovery Boards, and OfficeConnect workbooks
  • Manage support activities including resolving help desk incidents, maintaining team backlog, and training end users (with live sessions, recordings, and reference guides)
  • Act as a subject matter expect for Workday by staying up to date on all feature releases, regularly engaging with the Workday Community and networking opportunities, and promoting system best practices

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years of Workday Financials or Adaptive Planning experience is a plus
  • Workday PRO certified in any Financials module is a plus
  • 2 years of experience administering or working directly with a SaaS-based ERP solution
  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word and PowerPoint
  • Restaurant or multi-unit retail industry experience a plus
  • Outstanding ability to communicate and drive discussions on systems design, configuration, reporting, controls, and overall best practices
  • Unparalleled attention to detail
  • Exemplifies High Emotional Intelligence.  Can be described as confident, caring, team-oriented, guest-focused, supportive, empathetic, and trustworthy
